AW24 :: iNAUGURATION

The Amehl Semiannual National Spirit Games
Bridging performance art and fashion, the concept for this show was an inauguration of a sporting spectacle in the fictional country Amehlica. The models acted as athletes or Amehlican public figures and heads of state. The collection is sprinkled with original prints and emblems featuring the Amehlican flag and spoof corporate logos such as Bank of Amehlica and Amehlican Airlines. The unique aesthetic of this collection mixes influences of 80's communist athletic propaganda with presidential glamour from another world. The vibe is sporty, formal, funny, weird, and all at the same time unashamedly pretty! The collection was shown together with art installations and a film.
